My Impression of Chen Ying’s Flower and Bird paintings

Recently, I am pleased to hear that the Exhibition of Chen Ying’s Calligraphy and Paintings will be conducted in Duo Yun Xuan, a most famous gallery in Shanghai. As a matter, I have seen Chen Ying’s flower and bird paintings before. She is a woman painter In educational circle. What impressed me most is that her flower and bird paintings are full of inspiration, vividness, subtle composition and modernity. Chen Ying , a famous painter, who used be a member of Calligraphy Association of Sanming City of Fujiang Province, works in Jian Ping High School, She began to learn from her first teacher Li Yuanxun, then she continued to polish her painting skills by following Jiang Hanting and Xu Fang, famous masters in painting in Shanghai. And at the same time, she learned calligraphy from Chen Mingwu.

Chen Ying is actually an intellectual painter, whose works have been won prizes many times. Her works Bamboo was on display at a calligraphy and painting exhibition to celebrate the eighteenth national congress of the CPC.

Jiang Hanting is a master in painting, whose works is full of vitality. Chen Ying， no doubt, has inherited his essence of flower and bird paintings. So, Chen Ying’s paintings with Chen Mingwu’s seal and Jiang Hanting’s painting style, tremendously enjoy new concept and life.

I am fond of Chen Ying’s painting Bamboo, which reveals a unique feeling, and shows great fortitude and tension. Her ink paintings take on freshness and nobility. Her handwriting is decisively determining. The frame of Chen Ying’s painting is complex but orderly, which shows her unique personal painting skills: thick is thick, thin is thin, artificial is artificial, and solid is solid. Her paintings seem to be created to meet the Law of Nature. What is worth mentioning is that her painting with her calligraphy in the marks of leaky roof(a term in the Chinese calligraphy)takes on an extremely subtle look.
